Glass™ is part of a growing range of wearable technologies. It is head-mounted, worn just as any pair of glasses is, but with a screen projected just above eye level.
Glass™ can perform many of the same tasks that a smart phone can – web searches, image capture, phone, text as well as a run a range of apps.
The uniqueness of this technology is that it’s hands-free, voice activated and designed to be used almost unobtrusively whilst doing other tasks and activities.
This offers many possibilities for use in teaching, learning and research as well as in professional life – many of which are still to be explored. We want you to be part of that exploration, to tell us about the ways that you think Glass™ could be used effectively in your life at University – to support studies, research, volunteering, field trips, placements etc.
